Even though it's canon the Ferengi got warp drive by trading with the Breen . I always liked to imagine that the Ferengi traded with the Pakled to get warp drive among other things.

The animation style for Cpt Janeway is at odds with the new guys...from my perspective, however, I was so stoked to see Cpt Janeway and crew in all their glory and my 9 year old boy gave the show a 9/10 and my 7 year old daughter 8/10 so... I had kinda given up on the recent adaptations of my beloved franchises. This was a very cool for me 😎

Troi gets a bad edit alot 😢 in many episodes she can pick up life on a nearby ship, a planet while in orbit 💫 or even in other dimensions (time's arrow) thats very USEFUL! ESPECIALLY when sensors cant detect life of conventional means...

I love the Romulans (in spite of their ruthlessness). I am fascinated by their creativity and cunning. Your description of them is superb: it is thorough and accurate. One thing I would add is that the Romulans have a flair for design, like their namesakes from Ancient Rome. They have stylish uniforms, spectacular architecture (the buildings appear to be reaching for the stars), artwork-and-statuary (in the Senate chamber, for example), beautiful clothing, and magnificent ships (my favourite is the Valdore). Jolan Tru.

Supposedly the Franklin and Kelvin uniforms from the JJ Abrams movies are canon to the prime timeline as well. The uniform delta from TOS was intended by Roddenberry to represent all of Starfleet and there's documentation of this but the costume department decided to make a different patch for different ships but there are instances in TOS of non Enterprise officers wearing the delta and subsequent prequels have confirmed that it was the symbol of Starfleet and not just the Enterprise.

When the first Tellarite died on Trek I would have liked Kirk to have said "Well, it looks like we're going to have ham sandwiches for weeks."

Fun fact: the Tellarite predilection for argument originated over the question of how many fingers the species was supposed to have! The debate continues to this day: Even in Star Trek Prodigy we see Jankom Pog with three fingers and Dr. Noum with five! When a Tellarite gives the "Vulcan salute" it doesn't mean "live long and prosper," it means "See this?! This is how many fingers a Tellarite is supposed to have!" (And the correct answer is three! No matter what you saw, or where!) 😝 Tellarites (and Andorians, if they matter to you) weren't seen in TNG, DS9 or Discovery because Brannon Braga thought they looked dumb. When they first appeared in Enterprise they were an afterthought ("Let's make the bounty hunter a Tellarite!") but only after the sets (buttons on consoles) and props (a pistol) were created for five-fingered hands, so they gave them five fingers.

The Tellarites are supposed to be heavily into interstellar trade and commerce. If any spacefaring race was going to sell first generation ship shield technology to the humans, it would be the Tellarites. I write, first generation, because they would be cautious most likely not wanting to provide the unknown humans with the very latest shielding technology. Didn't matter. The humans have a reputation for greatly improving upon technology. Few fans know this but when the Vulcans first contacted Earth, their space ships topped out at Warp 6. The Vulcans believed that it was not possible to improve upon Warp 6. The humans proved them wrong one hundred years later. That 24th century Vulcan space ships can reach Warp 9 is thanks to human technological advancement on warp engine technology. In a late 1980s-early 90s Star Trek paperback series edition, a female Tellarite scientist is working alongside human scientists and technicians. The paperback book describes Tellarite hands as more hoof-life with sensitive protrusions on the bottom for touching, manipulating, and holding. The lady Tellarite scientist glances at the hands and fingers of her human colleagues. Privately, she is astonished that these apparent, weak-looking human hands with thin fingers like limp pond fronds are capable of grasping anything. She wonders how humans were able to build a great technological civilization with such weak, limp, grasping thin fingers.

I just love Tendi as someone who wants tomething beyond the established things. There's a great Orion woman on the crew of the dan-made Star trek Excelsior audio adventures that's also in that same vein. A bit like their race's versions of Nog on DS9, people who forge their own path.

If I found myself in this universe, I would make a bee line for the Rigel system, ... any time previous to 2350 (ish) its pretty much the most "civilized" part of the Alpha/Beta quadrant boarder region. Working with Orion's would be VERY similar to working with 19th to 21st century Humans (although most like late 19th). Still have to deal with the fact Humans are on the "physically" weaker side of all region races (strength of children to most) as most are Vulcanoids (carbon-copper based Humaniods, not carbon-iron based) In TOS to /DS9 cannon, Humans fit "well" into Orion society.. more so than we do in most other cultural societies.

I definitely suspected they had multi versions/cuts of many of these episodes. I understand from a scifi magazine article from the 80's or 70's that they had two women in their tunics get into a rip roaring kirk like catfight rolling around in a field, but they had to cut it out as they did a little too much ripping. A friend of mine argued with me that there was a hot little girlfight in a field where two girls were rolling around catball catfighting it out while two guys were rolling around as well kicking up dirt. I told him BS, but he swore it lasted a good 20 seconds or so, then went to another scene of fighting, one after another. Kirk could show his sweaty chest while rolling around with an adversary, but clearly the girls could not ... BBBBOOOOOOO!!! There was however a scene at the very end where two men and a very dirty disheveled ripped up girl beams on board, obviously having been in some kind of fight, probably the girl fight on the cutting room floor 😥😥😥😥😥😥 I did see in one late night episode of Star Trek on a French Canadienne channel years ago in the 1980's what looked like one red tunic cutey tackle another in the background on a field and fly off camera together... That was probably the catball catfight girl grapple they cut, and/or my friend had seen? anybody else remember a girl fight in a field? ... rolling around in a classic catfight tangled up, one on top then the other, and apparently while two guys were rolling by in the opposite direction ....

For anyone to get hot and bothered over such a minor character as April shows that there is an agenda in full affect. I remember when the show Battlestar Galactica was rebooted and both the characters of Boomer and Tigh were race swapped and in the case of Boomer the sex was swapped as well. I never heard about anyone being upset about it. Maybe it was because they were changed from being black to some other race?

The least reprehensible iteration of Kurtzman Trek is the first to be pulled. Why am I not surprised. Can't wait till this happens to SNW and STD. Throw away the rest of the garbage and give Terry Metalas control over any new Trek shows
